Apply for a Grant
LCEF funds construction education programs, scholarships, equipment, training space, materials, and instruction across Louisiana. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and all submissions are reviewed by the LCEF board of directors.
Must provide construction, craft, safety, or supervisory training in Louisiana
Must produce a certification meeting or exceeding NCCER standards
Must guide students toward construction education, training, or career opportunities
Must demonstrate responsible administration of grant funds
Applications accepted year-round on a rolling basis
What we fund
Funding Priorities
LCEF supports a range of project types that expand or improve construction education and workforce development in Louisiana. Grants may fund any of the following.
Programs and Courses

New or existing training initiatives, whether operated independently or through a partnership with another organization.
Scholarships
​
Financial support for students who need assistance covering the cost of training and certification programs in the construction trades.
Equipment
​
Heavy equipment, machinery, and tools used in hands-on craft training, such as hook and crane equipment for operator programs.
Materials and Consumables
​
Training supplies that programs use regularly, including welding rods, flat bar, pipe, grinding wheels, and similar consumable materials.
Training Space
​
Funding for classroom or hands-on training facilities, whether an existing space being expanded or a new location being established.
Instruction and Training Time
​
Support for the cost of qualified instructors, covering the expense of bringing skilled professionals in to teach a course or training cohort.
