Baton Rouge, LA, August 6, 2024: The Louisiana Construction Education Foundation (LCEF) is pleased to announce a grant award of $110,400 to the new Prairieville High School to pay for exhaust ventilation for the school’s welding and pipefitting labs. The money will be paid in two installments of $55,200. The first check was presented today at the Ascension Parish School Board meeting. Newly appointed foundation manager, Connie Fabre stated that “welding and pipefitting are two of the hottest in-demand skilled craft careers today.” There has been and there will continue to be a large demand for these skilled crafts due to new industrial and energy project announcements.
