LSU's Construction Management Program receives $100,000 donation from LCEF

The Louisiana Construction Education Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to the Louisiana State University College of Engineering in support of LSU's Construction Management Program. The grant represents the largest single award in LCEF's history and reflects the foundation's commitment to investing in higher education pathways that strengthen Louisiana's construction workforce pipeline. LSU's Construction Management Program prepares students for careers across the full spectrum of the construction and engineering industries, from project management and estimating to field supervision and owner representation. Graduates of the program enter Louisiana's construction sector with the technical knowledge and professional credentials that employers in the state depend on.

"This investment in LSU's Construction Management Program reflects exactly what LCEF was created to do," said Connie Fabre, President and CEO of LCEF. "Developing the next generation of construction professionals at the university level is a long-term investment in Louisiana's economy, and we are proud to support the work LSU is doing to prepare those future leaders."

LCEF awards grants to support construction education programs, scholarships, equipment, and instruction for students pursuing careers in Louisiana's trades and construction industries. All funded programs must meet or exceed NCCER certification standards.
